Overview

The Medicine House clinic is a core component of the master planned Mandaree Wellness Campus. It stands adjacent to the Swift Eagle James G. Johnson Activity Center, and is connected to the Mandaree Assisted Living facility via a breezeway, which allows elders to visit the clinic regardless of weather conditions. It is currently under construction.

The building’s design places dual emphasis on healing and cultural heritage. Its key elements include a modern interpretation of the medicine wheel, set into the ceiling, which serves as the focal point of the lobby waiting areas. Nature inspired materials and coordinating color palettes provide the space with a warm, home-like feel while still prioritizing cleaning and sanitation.

The Clinic provides medical, dental, optical, behavioral health, women’s health, physical therapy, podiatry, radiology and lab services to West Segment members of MHA Nation. It is also served by a centrally located geothermal plant, specifically designed to heat all three buildings on the Wellness Campus. This geothermal system significantly enhances long-term energy efficiency and operational independence for the Mandaree community.
