The Project Architect will be a critical member of the project team participating in the full range of project related phases with the client and project manager. They will assist in the development of design work; lead in the production of technical drawings and specifications; coordinate the related work of other disciplines and assume in-house construction administration duties on projects. They will also act as the primary client liaison and direct the work of others.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Represent the company in a professional and diligent manner at all times
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, design team, authorities, utilities and associated organizations.
  • Attend all meetings with clients, project team, contractors etc.
  • Documentation of the project from concept and schematic design through construction documentation and detailing.
  • Organization and coordination of all construction documents (drawings and specifications)
  • Client and Consultant coordination to oversee accurate and timely completion of construction documents
  • Research and coordination of materials and products for project specifications
  • Implementation of all local, state and federal applicable building codes, constructability and architectural standards of practice
  • Site observations and site inventory documentation
  • Participate in all aspects of construction administration related activities (in office and on site)
  • Lead/Mentor production staff

Qualifications:

  • Five-year Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Architecture
  • Professional Registration is preferred
  • 5 -10 years of project architect experience within the architecture and construction field
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, building construction, building systems and site requirements
  • Ability to provide efficient and elegant design solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, able to have a solid working relationship with clients, coworkers, and consultants
  • Proficient in current version of Revit Architecture – preferred

Brunton Architects & Engineers is seeking a talented professional to join our team in creating high-end design solutions for our clients. Our growing architectural, engineering, and interior design firm is focused on sustainable growth and differentiating ourselves in the marketplace. In addition to working extensively with Revit models and drawings, the Senior Revit Technician will manage technical staff and work closely with other project team members to coordinate and schedule all construction documents for the projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform drafting on projects of any complexity without supervision
  • Review and integrate structural drawings into the architectural construction drawings on assigned projects
  • Assist technicians and architects with maintenance of job-related files
  • Establish and coordinate in-house resources to ensure project schedules and budgets are met
  • Establish, document, and ensure compliance of company standards for Revit modeling & drafting
  • Train entry level technicians on the established business processes
  • Direct the work of technicians
  • Oversee the drawing coordination between all disciplines (i.e. Architectural, Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, Structural & Specialty Consultants)

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the architectural design practice and the construction industry

  • Ability to schedule, prioritize, and ensure completion and accuracy of assigned tasks without supervision
  • Must have 7+ years of working experience within Revit.

Brunton Architects & Engineers has an exciting opportunity for a Building Services Electrical Engineer to be part of our multidisciplinary architectural/engineering team in North Mankato, Minnesota. You will be required to work autonomously or with a team to develop the successful projects through clear communication and detailed design plans.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Represent the company in a professional and diligent manner at all times
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, design team, authorities, utilities and associated organizations.
  • Attend all meetings with clients, project team, contractors etc.
  • Undertake and deliver high quality detailed engineering design for electrical building services and power distribution systems, including calculations, analysis, schematics, drawings, diagrams, models, specifications and other documents required
  • Review and management of project from inception to post construction duties
  • Good knowledge of relevant codes/standards, regulations, guides and good practices
  • Seek, complete, and record evidence of continuing professional development in accordance with the requirements of a Minnesota State Professional Engineer
  • Contribute and assist, as required by the Project Leader.

Qualifications:

  • Professional Registered Engineer
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a building design engineering capacity
  • Proven ability to design electrical Building Services systems and demonstrate rationale behind proposals
  • Experience of being Lead Electrical Engineer for more than one project – Required involvement from Concept to Construction – Involved in Construction Administration
  • Demonstrate knowledge, understanding and application of code requirements
  • Mentoring and management of junior engineers, sharing technical knowledge and experience
  • Communicate and present in a professional manner, both written and verbally.
  • Use a variety of media in the development and documentation of a design project
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, leadership and work well in a team

We are seeking an energized, multifaceted HVAC/Plumbing Design Engineer with strong design skills to join our team of “in-house” mechanical engineers and technicians to work in our North Mankato location.  The preferred candidate will have significant experience with Revit. This is an exciting and challenging, highly creative role with the opportunity to work on numerous projects in a fast paced, collaborative, and integrated design environment. You will be working closely with architects and engineers to define space requirements for mechanical and plumbing systems and layout those systems three dimensionally to allow the systems to properly heat, cool, and ventilate spaces while blending into the architecture of the building and spaces.

  • Review and integrate structural drawings into the architectural construction drawings on assigned projects.

  • Adhere to required timeframes and allotted budgets.
  • Maintain company standards for Revit modeling & drafting

Qualifications:
