Project Location - North Mankato, Minnesota
Brunton Architects & Engineers has seen substantial growth in the past several years and quickly outgrew their existing office in the Community Bank building. The new Brunton Architects office building, constructed as an infill project in North Mankato was completed in the Fall of 2011 with future expansion in mind. The new construction includes several “Light Green” strategies, and is partially powered by photovoltaic electricity producing solar panels and utilizes four large skylights that bring natural light into the apartments above to the extent that artificial light is not required during the day. Additionally, many recycled content materials were incorporated into the interior finishes of the new office building including recycled barn wood and carpet that is comprised of approximately 70% total recycled content. In 2012 The Brunton Architects office building was proudly awarded Best New Construction Under $2,000,000 by Greater Mankato Growth and the City Center Partnership.
