To Whom It May Concern,
We have been using Brunton Architects for the last year and a half in the design of our new dental office. Our office will be over 6500 square feet with a 3000 square foot basement.
What really made our office design challenging is that there are three partners who all wanted to get their ideas and opinions expressed. Corey listened to our concerns and came up with some great ideas and suggestions. He started the process by doing “chicken scratches” on paper, outlining our concepts of how we wanted our space to be used. He is a firm believer in form follows function. After getting his idea of our space needs, he progressed to line drawings and placement of walls. We modified his plans with our ideas and he re-drew his plans numerous times to meet our diverse ideas. After agreeing on the floor plan, Corey drove us to Monticello, about 100 miles from Mankato, to show us a dental office that he was involved with the design. The three dental partners took ideas from that office and Corey designed the exterior of our new office to fit around our interior design. All three of us were extremely pleased with the exterior design he came up with. He gave us several options and we chose what we thought would work best for us.
The interior design came next. With the help of Beth, we were given a multitude of options. These options were put into a cad computer program so we could visually see what everything would look like. This was tremendously helpful in making our decisions. Corey and Beth also visited our private residences so they could see the style of interior design we liked best.
After the building was underway, there were several contractor errors pointed out by Corey and members of his staff. The errors were resolved by them and we did not have to be the “Bad Guys”. A drainage pipe was laid under our parking lot that did not meet the specs noted in the plan. Corey and his staff approached the dirt contractor and had it removed. We feel that Brunton Architects was always on our side and went out of their way to please us.
In conclusion, we knew building a new dental office would be a challenge. We could not have asked for a better architecture firm than Brunton Architects. They met our every need and did so with unusual knowledge of all the different options and with a smile. You will find the entire staff very helpful and friendly as well. I really believe they have our best interests in mind. I would give them my highest recommendation as a quality business and as wonderful people to work with. On behalf of Crane Community Chapel, I give my highest recommendation to Corey Brunton. His ability to work with our church body and its many individual voices is a testament to his people skills. And Corey’s design abilities far surpassed our expectations. Today, Crane Chapel has a extremely practical facility. We have a beautiful sanctuary along with both an educational wing and a recreation/reception wing. We have found the building to be very user friendly.
As with all projects of this magnitude, it was a challenge to stay within a financial budget. We are grateful for Corey’s dedication to our building project, his sincere desire to meet our budget, and his capacity to work with an ever-changing list of needs. Launching our building project w/ Brunton Architects was the first right decision we made. The folks at Brunton have been so patient and accommodating throughout the project, always there to answer any questions no matter how small or trivial.
