Wells Federal Bank (designed while at I&S)
This elegantly detailed 7,500 square foot bank building is constructed with Wells Concrete architectural-grade precast concrete panels and was one of the first projects with coped corners, dental moldings, inlaid brick, stone form liners, and crown detailing all on the same panel. This bank building was designed for Wells Federal Bank of Mankato and was erected and water tight in less than 10 days after the footings and foundations were poured. This project has won multiple awards for its design and detailing by the Minnesota Builder's Association. The building boasts 16' ceilings, two tone wood moldings throughout, custom reception and teller casework, large open office spaces, private offices, modular vault, break room, basement storage, and large conference rooms. WEB Construction, located in Mankato, was the general contractor for this project. Corey Brunton, while employed at I & S Engineers & Architects, Inc., was the project architect for this building design and was responsible for the overall architectural design of the building. His responsibilities included meeting with the client, developing concept design drawings and sketches, overseeing the development of the design drawings from concept to completion, and coordination of the various design disciplines involved in the project.
